Definition:

When it comes to ensuring optimal distribution of forces on both spring bodies for torsion springs, double torsion springs are the right choice. We build on a wide range of different designs. As materials we use spring brass as well as brass wire and Inconel. Other materials include Nimonic, titanium wire and iron wire.

Your torsion spring or torsion spring we manufacture from high quality spring steel wire in Germany. The torsion springs are manufactured on CNC machines with different axes. In the cold forming process, we bring the spring steel wire into your desired shape. This results in mechanical energy storage for a wide variety of applications and industries.

To transmit the torque, you will find our torsion spring in building services or in mechanical and plant engineering, many consumer goods and in the automotive and electrical industries. Simple application examples are clothes peg, safety pin, mousetrap with beater or luggage carrier of bicycles. Using the safety pin as an example, it is easy to demonstrate a once-wound leg spring. The clothespin, however, is wound or wound several times in exact width.

Double-legged springs for the highest demands - precise and robust
Effectively, we use CNC machines with state-of-the-art control technology to produce your double-legged spring with high precision. Our production of stainless spring steel wire 1.4310 ensures good corrosion resistance. Tailored to your needs, we also offer common spring steel, spring bronze, brass, iron and titanium wire.

Powder coating, chemical, galvanic refining, chrome plating or surface roughening are also carried out competently and reliably for you. Alloying provides a higher resistance and makes the spring steel wire more robust, but without broadening its radius. We also produce thigh and double thigh springs in the natural look of the spring wire as well as in polished, frosted and colored variants.

Double Twist and Torsion Springs
Double-legged springs, also called double torsion or torsion springs, are constructed from two spring bodies. Thus, they have a double torque and can be used in numerous technical applications. The two spring legs distribute the forces optimally on both spring body. Mostly the thighs are on the outside. Thanks to our modern production technology, we also realize their position on the inside. Torsion springs are used in mechanical watches, in Drehspulmessinstrumenten or for suspension of vehicles; just to name a few.
